in 2024, Garton Family Charity’s Holiday Cheer program was able to support 45 families in giving 1,200 gifts to 115 children. We have so many to thank for making this all possible.

We once again partnered with the Wadsworth YMCA and simply couldn’t have done it without them. They put up a “Giving Tree” once again this year and encouraged members to choose a child to purchase gifts for. The response was incredible, and their generosity was remarkable. To those who purchased gifts or donated funds to support our families in need, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Special thanks to Helen and Amy at Wadsworth YMCA for working so hard to coordinate everything with us. We couldn’t ask for better community partners!

Thank you to On the spot heating and cooling llc and

PACK Performance Center for allowing us to use your businesses to serve as gift pickup locations. We appreciate you both helping us to make the process smooth and successful and your kindness in volunteering to help our program!

Thank you to the Check, Chenal, Cherrison, Davisson, and DeMoss families for volunteering your time in helping us have another successful year. To have so many wonderful people coming together in the spirit of giving to help support our neighbors through difficult times is the true magic of the holiday season.

Garton Family Charity’s Holiday Cheer Program was created in 2020 in part in response to the impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on many families in our community.  Families were nominated by friends or family or could self-nominate and received holiday gifts and gift cards to purchase a family meal for the holidays.  Our team was so touched by “Holiday Cheer” that we decided to make it an annual program moving forward.
